Taking the ROYALS. As much as I like this Cleveland team, they really have to add a starting pitcher. McKenzie and Allen, ooh boy. Let's just say we are looking for the bigger pay day for a reason. That reason being Logan Allen has been bad this year. 8-3. Oh yeah. Nice record. 5.73 ERA 1.55 WHIP. How many games are you going to win over a long haul putting a runner and a half on every inning? Last 7 games even worse - 5.94 ERA and 1.62 WHIP. Then the road splits come into play. But honestly, they are better than his home numbers if that is possible. A 5.11 ERA in 10 starts with a .292 BAA! Allowing teams to hit .292 while on the road is not a recipe for success. Now you face the team with the best home batting average in the league in KC (.270). Now the Royals have been slumping the last 2 weeks. What is a better way to break out then against a guy throwing batting practice? And you have your ace Seth Lugo to help slow down the opposing team. He is looking for payback after Cleveland tagged him earlier in the month. 5 runs in 6 innings of work. That was a rare stinker on the road, as his road splits are very good. (1.93 ERA .194 BAA .94 WHIP) He has been solid at home but not those wipe out numbers. A 1.18 WHIP isn't terrible, nor is his 2.74 ERA. Royals have been pretty good overall at home, and I think the pitching is the difference this afternoon. 4* Money Maker KANSAS CITY ROYALS
