On Tuesday the Battle of NY hoops Play is on the Brooklyn Nets. Game 902 at 8:00 eastern. The Nets are making the playoffs and the Knicks are not. While one would have been hard pressed to assume that at seasons end, it is the harsh reality for knocks fans. So one would think the Nets have things wrapped and want to no part of this game. That would be incorrect. The Nets were blown out by 30 here earlier in the season and after revenging that win with a 20+ point win at the garden, were promptly blown out again by the Knicks by 29 when they were making their big playoff push. So the Nets once again have big Loss revenge. There is also a late season base system that plays on Conference home teams in game 80 or later that that are off a spread loss and playing a road team off a win. This is the final home game for a Nets team that has been superb since January in this building and they do not want to have the Knicks walk away by ruining their final regular season home game. The Knicks did well to turn back the Bulls as a 3 point home dog on Sunday. However with Carmelo Anthony playing through pain and the Knicks going into this revenge scenario, with no hope of a playoff spot, we see no reason to believe the Knicks will be up to this tonight. Look for the Nets to serve up revenge here tonight.
