This is a 10* TOTAL BEST OF BEST on the OVER Cubs/Brewers.
Despite a couple of decent starters going head-to-head here, I say that the overall situation now points to this total being set a bit TOO low now.
Chicago has lost five straight and it's seen the total go UNDER in two straight after yesterday's series-opening 5-1 loss here. Note though that Chicago has in fact seen the total eclipse the posted number in eight of its last 12 after five or more straight losses in a row.
Milwaukee has now won three of its last four, but it's seen the total go UNDER in five straight. That's significant to note though, as the Brewers have seen the total go "over" the number in four of their last five after playing to five or more straight "unders" in a row.
As mentioned, two decent starters with Ben Brown getting the start for the visitors, and Freddy Peralta countering for the home side.
But as also mentinoed, the overall situation, combined with the numbers/trends definitely points to today's total soaring OVER the number sooner, rather than later.
