Total: 9.00 | -105.00 Under
Result: Push
This is an 8* SITUATIONAL TOTAL on the UNDER Nats/Tigers.
Both teams have been involved in several higher-scoring games of late, but I'm finally anticipating more of a "duel" here on Thursday afternoon between the visiting Nationals the home side Tigers.
Washington has won five in a row and it's seen the total go OVER in five straight as well. Note though that the Nats have seen the total go UNDER in eight of their last 12 after playing to five or more straight OVERS in a row.
Detroit has now seen the total go OVER in six straight, but note that despite yesterday's high-scoring 7-5 loss, the Tigers have still seen the total go UNDER the number in nine of their last 12 in trying to avenge a home loss as a favorite vs. an opponent.
Patrick Corbin gets the start for the visitors, while Casey Mize counters for the home side.
Neither has been great, but each is hungry. The overall situation, combined with the numbers/trends finally point to a lower-scoring UNDER in my opinion.
Good luck, NP
