This is a 6* BIG-CHALK CHOKE-OUT on the Hawks puckline.
The Blackhawks will be looking at this game as a major opportunity. No one wants to be the first victory for a brand new franchise.
The Hawks were just 23-53-6 but they should be better this year with a few additions (like Teuvo Tevainen.) Taylor Hall only played six games last year, but he's back, along with Conor Bedard. Petr Mrazek was in tough most nights, but is also expected to improve between the pipes.
Clayton Keller is one of the offensive stars on Utah. Karel Vejmelka and Connor Ingram are the goaltenders.
On paper, neither team looks great. In a contest that I see being decided late, or in extra time, I'm laying the price for the extra 1.5 goals of insurance.
