This is a 10* WEST-CONF NON-DIV TOY on the OVER Kraken/Predators.

I base my picks on many different things. This particular one is a great "situational" play.

Both teams are off shutout losses and have struggled in the early going. Because of that, I'm expecting a very up-tempo affair, one where each team is pushing the pace at every moment, and because of that I believe this total will fly well OVER the number well before the final buzzer sounds.

When Seattle lost 3-2 at home to St. Louis, it then responded with a 5-4 shootout win at Minnesota. Off the 2-0 loss at Dallas on Sunday, I think the Kraken will explode again here offensively vs. the Predators.

Nashville has conceded seven goals over its first two losses. Dating to last year the Predators have also seen the total go OVER the number in three of their last four off a road loss as a favorite.

The overall situation, combined with the numbers/trends all point to this total flying OVER the number sooner, rather than later.
