10* NON-CONF TOTAL OF MONTH: 12-5 NBA SURGE!
(NBA) Lakers (LAL) vs. Heat (MIA),
Total: 216.50 | -110.00 Over
Result: Win
Total: 216.50 | -110.00 Over
Result: Win
This is a 10* NON-CONF TOM on the OVER Lakers/Heat.
This is the first meeting between the clubs this year. LeBron likes beating his old teams, but the Heat won't be rolling over.
While each has played to several higher-scoring games of late, I'm finally expecting this Wednesday night non-conference affair to be much more wide-open than what this O/U line is suggesting.
Just a great overall situational play here.
The Lakers are coming off the 109-80 loss at Minnesota, and they've been trading wins/losses over their last six games. Note though that LA has seen the total go OVER the number in eight of its last 11 off a SU/ATS road loss in which it was held to 90 or fewer points in. After playing to six straight UNDERS, I think the public is too quick to back another lower-scoring affair here in Miami.
The Heat are off back-to-back road losses, most recently falling 108-89 at Boston. Note though that looking back the Heat have seen the total go OVER the number in four of their last five off a SU/ATS road loss in which they were held to 90 or fewer points in.
With both teams hungry to break a string of poor play, I'm expecting this faster-paced affair to eclipse the posted number as the game comes down the stretch.
The play is the OVER.
Good luck, NP
