==>> HOT 36-20 NHL YTD (OFF ANOTHER SWEEP!) TOP TOTAL!
(NHL) Predators (NSH) vs. Maple Leafs (TOR),
Total: 5.50 | -115.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 5.50 | -115.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is an 8* TOP TOTAL on the OVER Preds/Leafs.
Loving the way this one sets up to be more of an offensive battle between these non-conference, rather than a lower-scoring defensive battle.
And I believe that for a couple of different good situational and trend-based reasons.
Nashville is so far 7-12 coming into this one. It enters having lost four straight and the last three have all been 3-2 overtime losses.
Looking back though the Predators have seen the total go OVER the number in seven of their last ten (that's a 70% situation!), after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.
The Predators are clearly desperate to snap the slide and I expect the sense of urgency in which they'll be playing with in this one to translate into a faster-paced game.
But a faster-paced game definitely plays right into the hand of the high-scoring Maple Leafs.
Toronto is 15-7 and it's won six of its last seven. The Leafs have been getting the job done at both ends of the ice this season, and with Nashville pushing the pace of this one like I'm expecting out of pure desperation, the home side won't have any issues in also pushing the pace and trying to set the tempo itself.
As primarily a situational capper..this one falls right into my wheel house. The overall situation that each team finds itself in coming into this one, combined with the numbers and trends point to this Wednesday night matchup North of the border flying OVER the number before the final buzzer sounds.
Good luck, NP
