Both sides have been playing to several higher-scoring games of late, but I expect those trends to end here tonight in San Jose.

Tampa is just 16-16-2-0 on the road, while San Jose is only 10-19-1-2 at home.

The Lightning have won four straight. They've also now seen the total go OVER in six straight after their most recent 5-3 win at Vegas. The Bolts have won all four over top teams, beating Philly 7-0, New York 6-3, Florida 5-3 and then Vegas 5-3.

Can anyone say letdown spot here vs the lowly Sharks, especially with another tough road game at the hungry Kings up next?

San Jose lost 6-0 at Tampa at the start of the year, and note that the Sharks have in fact seen the total dip below the posted number in four of their last five in trying to avenge a shutout road loss vs. an opponent.

This number is now too high in my estimation, so the play is the UNDER.
