This is an 8* BLOWOUT on Bowling Green.
For a number of different reasons I expect Bowling Green to at the very least, sneak away with an ATS cover once the final whistle sounds. I think the South Alabama Jaguars will just be happy to playing in this game, it's the team's first ever bowl appearance. The Falcons have been bowling many times throughout the years, but with a chance to win one for the first time since 2004, I look for Bowling Green to find a way to get the job done at the end of the night. "There's no doubt it's the biggest thing that's ever happened to the University of South Alabama football program," Jaguars coach Joey Jones confirmed earlier in the week. The Falcons though have a sour taste in their mouths and something to prove today, they'd lose their final three games of the year, including a 51-17 beatdown loss by NIU in the MAC Championship: "Obviously we know it's been awhile since we won a bowl game," Bowling Green QB James Knapke commented yesterday. "Coming into the season, that was obviously a huge goal was for us to win a bowl game, and the opportunity's still in front of us. We're going to try to take care of that." South Alabama also comes in on a two-game losing streak, including a 42-20 loss to Navy in its finale. The Falcons pride themselves in being the fastest offense in the country based on how quickly they snap the ball after the previous play, the team has 27 TD drives of two minutes or less and it's this relentless pace which I think will wear down the Jaguars eventually. As mentioned off the top, while I obviously don't think the outright win isn't out of the question here, I will in the recommend grabbing as many points as you can; play on BOWLING GREEN.
