AAA's 10* NON-CONF TOTAL OF MONTH (61-41 +$4,526 YTD NHL!)
(NHL) NY Islanders vs. Winnipeg,
Total: 5.50 | 100.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* NON-CONFERENCE TOTAL OF THE MONTH on the UNDER between the New York Islanders and the Winnipeg Jets.

For a number of different situational and strong trend based reasons, I expect this total to fall below the posted number once the final whistle sounds. From a situational stand point, this is a fantastic play, the Isles have been blowing big leads in recent weeks and this represents the first game of the organizations longest road trip in five years. New York has plenty of momentum, it's tied with Pittsburgh atop the Metropolitan Division, the first time it's had a share of first place since 1990: "We had a three-goal lead the last game and a three-goal lead today, and you can't be blowing those kind of leads," assessed Johnny Boychuk about his teams faltering of late. "But we found a way to get a win when they did have that comeback, and it's another two points." Isles' goaltender Jaroslav Halak is 16-2-0 with a tiny 1.84 GAA over his last eight 18 starts. "The Islanders have some firepower up front," Winnipeg center Mark Scheifele said yesterday. "We're going to stick to our game. We don't want to get into a track meet with them." The Jets are 9-2-4 in their last 15 but suffered a rare regulation loss on Monday, falling 3-2 to Minnesota. Note though that Winnipeg has seen the total go UNDER the number in 10 of 17 this year vs. teams with winning records, while New York has seen it dip below the posted number in six of ten in trying to revenge a home loss vs. an opponent (Jets prevailed 4-3 in Long Island at the start of the year). In my opinion, after taking all of the above factors into consideration, all signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the sharp wager here.
