The Wild would end 2014 by going 1-3-3 in their last seven and have dropped their last four in a row at home. A date vs. the short-handed Leafs is just what the doctor ordered to get untracked in my opinion. Toronto can empathize with Minnesota, it's given up a whopping 27 goals during a 2-5-0 streak of futility, but it comes in off a satisfying 4-3 shootout win over the Bruins on Tuesday. But note that the Buds would lose two key forwards to injury in the costly victory, as Joffery Lupul was placed on the IR with a lower body injury, while Peter Holland suffered an upper body injury. This is a tough spot for Toronto as it plays its sixth of a season-high seven consecutive road games; also note that the Leafs are just 1-2-1 overall in their last four to Minnesota. And note that the Leafs are a poor 6-9 (-6.4 units) vs. teams with losing records, while the Wild are 6-4 (+1.4 units) after scoring 1 goal or less in their previous game this season. I think the home side is worth the price of admission in this spot; how about you? Does MINNESOTA lay the hammer down, or does Toronto score the upset?!
