AAA's VERY EARLY 10* O/U EAST-COAST EXPRESS (+$30,860 NHL RUN!)
(NHL) Ottawa vs. Boston,
Total: 5.00 | -137.00 Over
Result: Push
This is a 10* O/U EAST-COAST EXPRESS on the UNDER between the Ottawa Senators and the Boston Bruins.

For a number of different reasons (situational and strong O/U trend bases ones), I believe this total will fall below the posted number once the final horn blares. Boston is in trouble of not making the playoffs but has looked a lot of better of late and the defense will get a huge boost today with the expected return of Adam McQuaid; McQuaid was third on Boston in ice time when the defenseman got injured on November 18th. The B's had a 12-8-0 record with him in the lineup, but went just 7-7-4 without him, giving up nearly a half a goal per game more: "Every point right now matters, and our position does matter," Boston defenseman Kevan Miller said last night. "It makes it tougher every game that we don't climb." These teams have played twice already, Game 1 went OVER the number with Boston winning 4-2 on November 1st, while the Sens would then prevail 3-2 on December 13th, the total pushing. Ottawa enters off a rare four day break after beating Buffalo 5-2 on Monday, snapping a three-game slide. When Ottawa wins, most of the time it is because of fantastic goaltending, Craig Anderson has a 3-1-1 record and a very respectable 1.79 GAA in his last five starts. Anderson will have to be sharp today as his counterpart Tukka Rask is a 6-3-1 with a 1.99 GAA in ten career starts vs. the Sens. From a trend based stand point, this is about as strong a play as you could possibly ask for as Ottawa has seen the total go UNDER the posted number in two of three this year when playing with three or more days rest, while Boston has seen it dip below the posted number in three of its last five when playing with two days of rest. In my opinion, the situation, the numbers and the trends do all indeed point to the UNDER as the sharp move in this one.
