AAA's 10* GOALTENDERS BATTLE (UNLOAD w/ SUPREME CONFIDENCE!)
(NHL) Columbus vs. Pittsburgh,
Total: 5.50 | 113.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 5.50 | 113.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* GOALTENDERS BATTLE on the UNDER between the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
For a number of different reasons I expect this total to fall below the posted number once the final horn blares. These teams are moving in opposite directions right now, Columbus has lost five straight while Pittsburgh will be looking for a fourth win in a row. There's no love loss between these two teams which played an intense first-round series last season, in which the Penguins prevailed in six games. Columbus has taken both games this year though, including a 2-1 win at Pittsburgh on February 19th. Pittsburgh is coming off a 4-3 win over Washington Wednesday, but I think will have a much harder time moving the puck around so well vs. the hungry Jackets, who are coming off a 2-0 home loss to New Jersey on Saturday. Note though that Columbus has been brutal on the power play since the All Star break, converting just at 4.9 percent, going 0 for 20 in its last six games. Also note that these two teams like to play rough, they rank among the league leaders in hits per contest. And finally note that Columbus has seen the total go UNDER the number in eight of its last 15 after three or more consecutive losses, while Pittsburgh has seen it dip below the posted number in 14 of 23 vs. division opponents this season. In my opinion, all signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this one.
