AAA's O/U "ART OF THE GAME!" (OFF 2-0 NHL SWEEP!)
(NHL) Pittsburgh vs. Colorado,
Total: 5.50 | 115.00 Over
Result: Win
This is an 8* O/U ART OF THE GAME on the UNDER between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Colorado Avalanche.

For a number of different reasons I expect this total to fall below the posted number once the final horn blares. The Pens come to town having won four straight and are expected to to have two defensemen in the line-up tonight that were acquired before the trade-deadline; Ben Lovejoy comes from Anaheim and Ian Cole from St. Louis. Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has won three straight, but will be looking for a better performance tonight as he's given up three goals in each of his last two after posting a tiny 1.00 GAA in his previous seven starts. Note that Fleury stopped 29 shots during a 1-0 OT win over the Avs on December 18th and has a 1.59 GAA during a 7-1-0 starting stretch vs. them. Colorado obviously won't be rolling over today though, it will be eager to break its three straight defeats at home to Pittsburgh and get back into the winners circle after Saturday's 3-1 loss to Minnesota: "There's no quit in this room," said Avs forward Jarome Iginla last night "We just have to keep going and try to put a streak together." Note that Pittsburgh has seen the total go UNDER the number in eight of 13 this season when playing with two days of rest and in 11 of 16 non-conference contests. And note that Colorado has seen the total dip below the posted number in 17 of 30 this year in revenging a loss vs. an opponent and in four of seven when playing with three or more days of rest. In my opinion, the situation, the numbers and the trends do all indeed point to the UNDER as the sharp move here.
