This is a 10* TOTAL ART OF THE GAME on the OVER between the Chicago Blackhawks and the New York Rangers.

For a number of different reasons I expect this total to eclipse the posted number as the game comes down the stretch. New York has been getting some timely goaltending and will look for a sixth straight win today, but I think Cam Talbot will have his hands full with the explosive Hawks. The Rangers are 15-2-3 since starting goaltender Henrik Lundqvist went down with injury, including a 2-0 win over the hapless Sabres on Saturday and a 2-1 win vs. Florida on Sunday. Obviously Chicago won't be just rolling over here today though, it's out for revenge after a 1-0 setback to the Rangers on March 8th. Since that setback though, the Hawks have been on a tear in outscoring opponents 12-4 during a three-game win streak, beating the Isles 4-1 last night; note that Chicago is likely to start backup Scott Darling in the second game of the back-to-back scenario. Neither team has been playing to too many high-scoring affairs of late, but in my opinion the conditions are finally right for a high-scoring OVER.
