AAA's 3-GM TUESDAY NIGHT *ICE REPORT*
(NHL) Tampa Bay vs. Detroit,
Money Line: -110.00 Tampa Bay (Away)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the Tampa Bay Lightning.

These two teams aren't as evenly matched as what the oddsmakers are leading us to believe tonight, I think the visitors take advantage and find a way to get the job done at the end of the evening. The Bolts actually dominated every single category except the scoreboard in Game 1, controlling the contest with a plus-32 shot differential, but corrected that last time out with a commanding 5-1 victory: "We played very similar to what we did the other night ... I thought we were pretty good in Game 1," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said last night. "We continued with that and have played two pretty solid games. I'd like to see us coming out 2-0, but it's 1-1 and that's better than 0-2. Now we can go win on the road." The usually stalwart Ben Bishop returned to form between the pipes, I think his performance in Game 1 was a definite oddity. Conversely, after a great Game 1, Wings netminder Petr Mrazek would allow four goals on 18 shots before being pulled after two periods; note that Mrazek will be back between the pipes this evening. In my opinion, the Lightning are clearly the better team, but there's no question that Tampa has struggled on the road this year. That said, the Lightning have a big chip on their shoulders this year, they haven't won a postseason road game since 2011 and will be hungry to atone for an 0-4 showing vs. the Habs in the first round last season. The line value on TAMPA BAY is too good to turn down tonight.
