Result: Loss
This is an 8* ASSASSIN on the Cleveland Indians.
Corey Kluber is the AL Cy Young Award winner but is 0-3 with a 4.24 ERA to start. Remember though, Kluber also got out to a slow start last year, going 1-2 with a 4.14 ERA in six April outings, but would close 2014 with a 16-6, 2.13 ERA effort. I think Kluber can turn it around, just like last season, the best is yet to come for the hard-throwing right-hander and a date vs. the Jays is just what the doctor ordered, he's enjoyed success vs. Toronto throughout his career and was 1-1 with a 3.95 ERA against it in 2014. The Indians finally woke up at the plate in yesterday's 9-4 victory, which is bad news for Jays' starter Aaron Sanchez (1-2, 5.03 ERA) who gave up four runs over 5 2/3's innings of a 6-5 walk-off loss at Boston on Monday. Toronto is just 2-6 so far on its ten game road trip and I think will have its hands full here today. I believe the writing is on the wall and that Kluber is finally in line to receive some proper support, all signs do indeed point to the INDIANS as the sharp move in this contest.
