Chi Chi Gonzalez makes his second start for the Rangers after taking a no-hitter into the sixth inning of Saturday's 8-0 win over Boston. However, Gonazlez runs into an equally motivated Edinson Volquez (4-3, 2.95 ERA) who has been particularly dominant at home going 4-1 with a 2.19 ERA in six outings with the Royals this season. Kansas City will also be especially motivated here to avoid an eighth loss in its last ten games following Thursday's 6-2 rain-shortened home defeat to Cleveland. Note that Kansas City is 13-6 (+8.4 units) this year after a loss. Gonzalez sure looked good in his first start, but obviously the book is still out on the rookie, I think this is a perfect opponent for Volquez and the ROYALS to take advantage of.
