AAA's EARLY N.L. SITUATIONAL PITCHING MISMATCH!
(MLB) San Francisco vs. Philadelphia,
Money Line: -173.00 San Francisco (Away)
Result: Win
This is a 6* SITUATIONAL PITCHING MISMATCH on the San Francisco Giants.

For the most part MLB handicapping comes down to the starting pitching and in this case, there's no question who wins out in this department. The Giants are coming off a 5-4 win to open their six-game trip and hand the ball to Madison Bumgarner (6-2, 3.12 ERA) who dominated the Phillies last year, in two games he'd give up one run and nine hits with 15 K's and no walks over 15 innings of work; note that Bumgarner has posted a very respectable 2.57 ERA in five lifetime match-ups vs. Philadelphia. Bumgarner comes in off a rare loss as well to the Braves, so it goes without saying that the Cy Young candidate will be eager to return to the winners circle, a definite situational factor working in our favor here. His counterpart is Severino Gonzalez (2-1, 6.88 ERA) who has been hit or miss this year, he's allowing right-handers to hit .268, but southpaws are batting .536, which doesn't bode well for the rookie in having to face Brandon Crawford, Joe Panik and Brandon Belt today. I think this line should be a lot higher, lay the price with confidence on Bumgarner and the GIANTS.
