AAA's TOTAL "ART OF THE GAME!"
(MLB) Detroit vs. Minnesota,
Total: 8.50 | 101.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is an 8* TOTAL ART OF THE GAME on the UNDER between the Detroit Tigers and the Minnesota Twins.

The Tigers monumental string of "overs" ended in last night's 4-2 victory over the Twins, and suffice it to say, I think another lower-scoring game is in the cards tonight as well. The visitors hand the ball to Justin Verlander (0-2, 6.75 ERA) who has been limited to four starts since returning from the DL, most recently the veteran is coming off a 10-5 loss to Toronto on Sunday. Verlander continues to work hard and if history is any precedence then he has to be loving his chances for a bounce back performance today as he's 5-0 with a 2.15 ERA in his last six starts in Minnesota and 1-1 with a 2.89 ERA in his past three overall. And I think that's bad news for a Twins lineup which is suddenly struggling with consistency at the plate, yesterday's setback would see them go 2 for 12 with runners in scoring position (note that Minnesota is in fact hitting just .185 with runners in scoring position over its last ten overall). The home side counters with Ervin Santana who made his debut on Sunday in Kansas City, giving up two runs off three hits while striking out eight over eight innings; Santana has also had plenty of success against his opponent today, going 6-1 with a 2.08 ERA in his last nine vs. the Tigers. I think the writing is on the wall and a classic "duel" is in the cards, with these two starters battling into the latter frames, all signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this contest.
