AAA's 10* BIG-12 TOTAL SHOOTOUT!
(NCAAF) Texas vs. Iowa State,
Total: 51.00 | -110.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is a 10* TOTAL SHOOTOUT on the OVER between Texas and Iowa State.

Texas is 3-4. Iowa State is 2-5. If either of these teams has any hope of making a bowl, they have to start stringing together a bunch of wins to finish the season. The Longhorns have the best shot obviously, a win today puts them back to .500. Expect Texas to run the ball against the Cyclones as it's already rushed for 587 yards and four TD's in its two Big 12 wins vs. Oklahoma and Kansas State. Iowa State is hoping recent changes can be the catalyst for a late season push, it dismissed offensive coordinator Mark Mangino and named redshirt sophomore QB Joel Lanning the starter on Monday. A signature win over the Longhorns on Saturday would clearly validate these changes. Of course, that's always easier said than done, to this point Iowa State has allowed 278.1 yards per game on the ground, ranked No. 112 in the country. To help alleviate some of the pressure off Lanning, we can also expect the home side to focus on the ground game, RB Mike Warren has run for nearly 800 yards and three TD's this season and has averaged an impressive 113 yards and 6.6 YPC. Lanning though can air the ball out, he'd come in late vs. Baylor and throw for 144 yards and three TD's. Texas has struggled on the road so far this year, losing by a combined 88-10 in its two contests away from friendly confines, so there's no question the visitors will be looking to stop that trend today. A whole ton of situational factors all point to the higher number as the savvy move in our professional opinion, but also take note that Texas has seen the total go OVER the posted number in three of its last four as a road fav in the 3.5 to 7 points range, while Iowa State has seen the total eclipse the posted number in two of its last three as a home dog in the same points range. Play on the OVER.
