Total: 42.00 | -110.00 Over

This is a 10* RED DRAGON on the UNDER between Michigan and Penn State.
When the smoke clears at the end of this one, we look for this total to fall below the posted number. No. 12 Michigan (8-2) travels to Penn State to take on the 7-3 Nittany Lions. Both teams have competent QB's, Christian Hackenberg is very likely playing his final game at Beaver Stadium and his counterpart Jake Rudock is arguably coming off the best outing of his career, setting a Michigan record with six TD passes last week. We'll call this department a "wash," but ultimately we feel that neither of these competent starters will be the focal point today and that each is going to have a lot more difficulty in moving the ball with any type of consistency. Both teams also have competent RB's, Penn State's Saquon Barkley though is said to not be at 100% yet after suffering an ankle injury since before the team's bye week. Ultimately though this play is based on situational and strong trend based factors: Michigan comes into this one set up for a classic "letdown" after its exhausting double-OT win over Indiana, while Penn State has had a full week off to heal up and prepare for this one. The Wolverines will be eager to atone for the defensive miscues last week as well and note, Michigan has in fact seen the total go UNDER the number in eight of its last 14 on the road and in five of its last nine after two or more consecutive SU wins. And note that Penn State has seen the total dip below the posted number in five of six in front of the home town crowd this year. Play on the UNDER.
