Total: 6.00 | -120.00 Under

This is an 8* TOTAL DESTRUCTION on the OVER between the San Francisco Giants and the New York Mets.
Setting the scene: The Giants struggled in the second half, but managed to do just enough to make the wild card game. New York also had an up-and-down year, but did enough to host this contest. Madison Bumgarner has had plenty of success against the Mets in the past, but he's also had difficulties since the All Star game. New York ace Noah Syndergaard has excelled at home, but we think this number is just a little low and expect it to soar over as the contest enters the latter frames.
Bumgarner: He posted a 1.94 ERA before the All Star break, but has since gone just 5-5 with a 3.80 ERA.
Syndergaard: He's been a beast at home throughout his career with a 2.68 ERA. Note though that he's just 1-2 with a 3.66 ERA and 1.119 WHIP over 19.2 lifetime innings of work against San Francisco.
The bottom line: Six of these teams last seven against each other have eclipsed the posted number and we expect this strong offensive trend to continue in this winner takes all scenario. Play the OVER.
