We like the Maryland Terrapins to defeat the Northwestern Wildcats on Friday for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones: Maryland has covered the spread in six of their last nine games, since last season. Over their last 17 road games, Northwestern own just a 2-15 record (6-11 ATS.) The Wildcats have now failed to cover the spread in four consecutive games. The Terrapins play with revenge in this game after being upset last year by NW. That should fuel them to play much better this time around. Maryland's offense is much better. They currently rank 17th in the country (FBS) in passing yards per game, with the Wildcats at just 120th in that category. We would love to have -10.0 in this game, but will ride with the Terps AT -10.5. We expect them to limit points from Northwestern and take advantage of their opportunities themselves.
