We like the Colorado Avalanche to defeat the Ottawa Senators on Sunday at 9:07pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

The Avalanche have looked a lot better in recent games. They began the season 0-4 and have now won four in a row to get back to .500.

Ottawa gave up six goals last time out in a loss to Vegas. This is a tough road trip for them.

Colorado have won the past five games vs Ottawa on home ice. They've also won seven of the past eight overall.

The Sens have been very inconsistent on the road. They are 4-5 in their last nine games away from home.

The Avs are smelling blood in the ocean this Sunday and will hunt down their fifth straight win. We're backing them.
