AAA's EARLY *Jays/Angels* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER!
(MLB) Toronto vs. LA Angels,
Total: 8.00 | -110.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 8.00 | -110.00 Under
Result: Win
This is an 8* "TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER" on the OVER between the Toronto Blue Jays and the LA Angels.
Toronto halted a five-game losing streak with a 4-0 win over the Angels in Game 2 of this three-game series. Amazingly though, the hard-hitting Jays have seen the total go UNDER the number in nine of their last ten and in six-straight; suffice it to say, I expect these two teams to finally break out with a big performance at the plate this afternoon. The visitors send Marcus Stroman (4-2, 3.44 ERA) to the hill; Stroman for the most part has been pretty solid this year, he gave up three hits and struck out seven over seven innings in a 1-0, 12-inning loss at Oakland on Friday. The home side counters with CJ Wilson (8-6, 4.23 ERA), who has given up 16 runs over his last 13 innings spanning his last three starts; most recently Wilson gave up six runs over 4 1/3's frames in his team's 7-6 win over the Astros on Friday. After starting the year with a 3.00 ERA in his first ten starts, Wilson has posted a 6.18 ERA in his last eight outings. Also note that Wilson gave up five runs over six frames in a 7-3 loss to the Blue Jays back on May 12th and is a pedestrian 2-2 with a 4.62 ERA in his last six starts vs. Toronto. LA will be hungry here to get back to its winning ways after its streak was snapped last night, and it goes without saying that the Jays are looking to string a couple of wins together. While the first two games of this series have fallen below the posted number, I believe the conditions are finally right for a higher-scoring slugfest in the finale; play on the OVER.
