AAA's ONE & ONLY 10* N.L. SLUGFEST OF THE MONTH!

This is a 10* SLUGFEST OF THE MONTH on the OVER between the Colorado Rockies and the San Francisco Giants.

The first three games of this four game set have all stayed below the posted number, suffice it to say I believe the conditions are finally right for a high-scoring slug-fest in the finale. The home side needed to replace the struggling Tim Lincecum in the rotation, so turns to Yusemiro Petit; Petit has been excellent in relief, going 2-1 with a 1.84 ERA in 27 appearances, however take note that Petit is a sub-par 1-2 with a ballooned 6.32 ERA over six big league starts. Petit was shelled for five runs over five innings in his last start vs Philadelphia on July 22nd; also note that Petit is just 1-1 with a pedestrian 5.53 ERA in six career starts vs. the Rockies. Colorado is injured and it's shown at the plate, it's scored just five runs with 12 hits over its last three games, but this is a big opportunity to start to turn things around offensively. The visitors counter with Jordan Lyles (6-1, 4.05 ERA) who has posted a respectable 2.80 ERA over his last six road starts, most recently getting tagged for three runs while walking five over 5 2/3's innings in his team's 5-4, 13-inning victory vs. the Fish on Saturday; I think Lyles will have his hands full today with this talented Giants lineup, a park in which he's never thrown in before. A great situational play, look for these starters to get chased early and for this total to go OVER the posted number as the game comes down the stretch.
