(NHL) Philadelphia vs. Boston,
Money Line: -180.00 Boston (Home)
Result: Win
This is an 8* play on the Boston Bruins.

Boston is ready to go on opening night, anything less than a Stanley Cup Finals appearance will be considered a letdown this year. The Bruins would follow up their 2013 Finals appearance by winning the Presidents Trophy last year, unfortunately for the home side though, it would exit in just the second round of the playoffs. Boston will once again be one of the best between the pipes with Tuukka Rask manning the helm: "We have to get off to a good start," Selke award winner Patrice Bergeron said earlier in the week. "We have to establish a connection with all the new players and make sure we're dialed in and that we definitely need to carry on what we've accomplished already." Philadelphia had an up and down year, it would start 3-9-0, only to recover to make the postseason, only to then be bounced by the Rangers in the first round. The Flyers will once again be leaning heavily on captain Claude Giroux to lead the way offensively this year, but Boston's depth will prove to be too much for the visitors in my opinion, Bergeron is surrounded by Reilly Smith and Brad Marchand on the first line, the second consists of Milan Lucic, David Krejci and Loui Eriksson. But not to be outdone, the Bruins' back end will also be dominant with Torey Krug, Zdeno Chara and Dougie Hamilton; also, a healthy Dennis Seidenberg returns as well. The Flyers will start Steve Mason, who tied a career high with 33 victories last year. Philadelphia has more questions at this point than answers, the home side is stacked and in my opinion, this line should in fact be a lot larger; play on BOSTON.
