AAA's TUE NIGHT O/U "ASSASSIN!" 3-0 (100%) w/ WEEKNIGHT NCAAF L/W!
(NCAAF) Arkansas State vs. Louisiana-Lafayette,
Total: 54.00 | -107.00 Under
Result: Win
This is an 8* O/U ASSASSIN on the OVER between Arkansas State and Louisiana Lafayette.

It's an important game for both teams as they each sit tied for second place in the league at 2-0. I played the Cajuns last Tuesday and they'd go on to obliterate Texas State 34-10 as 2.5 point underdogs; suffice it to say, I think the team can build off that performance and carry that momentum over into this evening's contest. Not to be outdone though, the Redwolves have won three straight since losing to Miami back on September 13th. Arkansas State utilizes an uptempo offense and is ranked 38th nationally, averaging just over 452 total yards per game. Keep your eyes on QB Fredi Knighten who has passed for 1,291 yards, thrown for seven TD's and rushed for 333 yards and six more major scores on the ground. Defensively Arkansas State is right in the middle of the pack in giving up 360.2 YPG. Lafayette's defense is much worse though, it's allowing a whopping 426.7 YPG, ranked 85th in the nation. The Cajuns' offense took a hit last week with top receiver Jamal Robinson lost for the year because of a foot injury, but that just means "next man up" in College Football; other players to look out for today for Lafayette include slot receiver Al Riles who had three catches for 81 yards last week; expect QB Terrance Broadway and company to air it out today, the Redwolves strength on defense is in stopping the run. The Redwolves though have a big opportunity today, Lafayette has struggled against speedy offenses, Arkansas State is definitely balanced and loves playing fast. Note that Arkansas State has seen the total go OVER the number in eight of its last 12 after a win vs. a conference rival, while Louisiana Lafayette has seen the total eclipse the number in 11 of its last 13 in front of the home town crowd. I think this is a sound play situationally, both teams come in off victories, each is confident, I expect this total to go OVER the number as the game comes down the stretch.
