AAA's VERY EARLY *Iowa/Minnesota* BLOCKBUSTER! 4 STRAIGHT WINNING NCAAF WEEKENDS!
(NCAAF) Iowa vs. Minnesota,
Point Spread: 1.00 | -110.00 Minnesota (Home)
Result: Win
This is an 8* BLOCKBUSTER on Minnesota.

Iowa is coming off an extremely satisfying win over Northwestern and I think has a letdown vs. a hungry Golden Gophers team. Minnesota is 6-2 and 3-1 in conference. QB Mitch Leidner is 71 and 139 for 1,087 yards, 6 TDs and 6 INTs, but the loss to Illinois was a bit of a shock; note that the last time the Gophers lost to a team that finished below .500 on the year was vs. Iowa in 2012. The home side doesn't need to panic, expect to see a heavy dose of RB David Cobb today, he's currently ranked sixth in the nation in rushing yards per game with 141.4. Leidner has plenty of weapons to throw to as well, TE Maxx Williams is one of the best in the Big Ten and will certainly be the best that Iowa has seen to this point. The Hawkeyes will be keying on Leidner, when forced out of the pocket he's prone to make mistakes, but I think that just opens things up for Cobb and expect the RB to have a productive afternoon. Defensively these teams are a wash, Minnesota gives up just under 22, Iowa is right at 20. The Gophers pass defense though has been great, Hawkeyes' QB Jake Rudock I think will be in for a surprise today. To sum it up, I think Leidner will have a few chances today and that he'll make the most of them; note that Iowa is 4-5 ATS in its last nine following a victory over a conference rival, while Minnesota is 4-2 ATS in its last six following a bye week. Play on the GOLDEN GOPHERS.
