Rating: 8*

The New York Yankees are coming off back-to-back losses to the Rockies in Colorado, but I think they'll bounce back with a win here against the lowly Minnesota Twins.

The Bronx Bombers should have a huge advantage on the mound as they hand the ball to CC Sabathia (4-4, 2.28 ERA). The veteran southpaw has been solid all year long and particularly so in recent starts. He's shut out Baltimore and Detroit while covering 12 innings in his last two starts and he has surrendered just three earned runs over his last five outings. Sabathia is 19-9 when starting against the Twins with an ERA of 3.19 and he has the current Twins team limited to a .222 batting average over 126 at bats with Joe Mauer going 7-for-43 (.163).

The Twins turn to the struggling Kyle Gibson (0-4, 6.49 ERA). The Twins have lost four of his five starts on the year and he has been tagged with 12 runs on 14 hits over 8 2/3 innings in his last two starts. Gibson is 1-3 when starting against the Yankees with an ERA of 10.72 and a WHIP of 1.89.

Yankees are 12-3 in their last 15 games vs. a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30, Yankees are 6-0 in Sabathia's last six road starts vs. Twins, Twins are 1-4 in Gibson's last five starts vs. Yankees.
