MLB 3-Pack
(MLB) Detroit vs. Tampa Bay,
Money Line: -118.00 Detroit (Away)
Result: Win
Play: Detroit Tigers
Rating: 8*

The Detroit Tigers bats are red hot, and I think they'll put a beating on the Tampa Bay Rays and Blake Snell today.

Snell (1-2, 3.54) will make his fifth career start. He picked up his first win his last time out despite surrendering four runs on eight hits and four walks in 5 1/3 innings. He has a 1.77 WHIP and a .301 BAA over his first four starts in the big leagues.

The Tigers turn to Justin Verlander (7-6, 4.30 ERA) who's coming off one of his worst starts of the season when he allowed eight runs and nine hits over 4 2/3 innings against Cleveland on Sunday. Verlander is 7-3 with a 3.49 ERA in his career against the Rays though and dominated them last year, giving up just one earned run in eight innings while striking out 10 batters. He has the current Rays limited to a .197 AVG over 71 at bats.

The Tigers have scored 10 runs in three straight games and they're 6-0 in their last six games vs. a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30.
