Early MLB 3-Pack
(MLB) Texas vs. Minnesota,

Result: Loss
Play: Texas Rangers
Rating: 8*

The Texas Rangers turn to their ace Cole Hamels as they look to bounce back from Saturday's embarrassing 17-5 defeat to the Minnesota Twins.

Hamels (9-1, 2.60 ERA) tossed seven scoreless innings of six-hit ball against the Yankees his last time out to end June with a 4-0 record behind a 1.51 ERA through six starts. Hamels has been dominant on the road all season, going 6-01 with a 1.44 ERA in eight starts and he's unbeaten on the road since Aug. 7, 2015.

The Twins turn to Kyle Gibson (1-5, 5.12 ERA) who picked up his first W of the season with seven shutout innings of five-hit ball at Chicago White Sox his last time out. I don't think he's capable of putting up a similar performance in back-to-back games though, and if anything he's likely to be hit extremely hard today. Gibson has fared well against Texas with a 1-0 mark and 1.80 ERA in three starts, but the current Rangers are batting a combined .297 against him.

Rangers are 8-0 in their last 8 Sunday games and 13-3 in their last 16 games following a loss.
