The Seattle Mariners have won seven of their past nine and they're off a four-game sweep of the Orioles. I think they'll run into trouble against the Houston Astros on 4th of July though.

Houston is 11-3 in its past 14 games and hands the ball to Lance McCullers (3-2, 3.91). The 22 year old missed his last turn due a blister on his right index finger, but he has allowed just three runs through 12 innings in his last two starts combined. He won his last meeting with the Mariners, holding them to two runs and four hits while striking out seven and he has the current Mariners limited to a .190 batting average.

The Mariners turn to left-hander Wade Miley (6-4, 5.58 ERA) who conceded five runs on seven hits through four innings of an 8-1 loss to Pittsburgh his last start. Miley is 3-1 in seven road starts this year, but it's behind a bloated 6.13 ERA. He has a .316 batting average against over 76 at bats versus current Astros hitters and Jose Altuve is 10-for-15 off the southpaw.

Mariners are 0-6 in their last six road games. Astros are 13-3 in their last 16 home games.
