Sunday Night Baseball *RUNLINE RIPPER*
(MLB) St. Louis vs. Chi Cubs,
Point Spread: -1.50 | 121.00 Chi Cubs (Home)
Result: Loss
Play: Chicago Cubs -1.5
Rating: 8*

The St. Louis Cardinals handed Chicago an 8-4 defeat on Saturday to snap the Cubs' 11-game winning streak. I like the Cubs to bounce back with a big win Sunday night.

Chicago is 6-1 in its last seven games following a loss and tonight it'll hit against the Cardinals' struggling right-hander Mike Leake (8-9, 4.79 ERA). He's posted an atrocious 7.39 ERA in five starts since the All-Star break, and he gave up three runs on six htis and four walks in six innings of a 7-4 loss to Cincinnati his last time out.

The Cubs turn to John Lackey (9-7, 3.56) who's coming off four consecutive quality starts. He's posted a 2.70 ERA in three starts against the Cardinals this season and the veteran is 6-2 behind a 2.67 ERA in 12 starts home at Wrigley this season.

The Cubs own a solid 13-game lead over the Cardinals in the National League Central, but last night's loss will give them plenty of motivation for tonight's game. Look for a BIG Cubs win.
