(MLB) Washington vs. NY Mets,
Money Line: -124.00 Washington (Away)
Result: Loss
Play: Washington Nationals
Rating: 8*

We backed the Washington Nationals as a +155 underdog free pick winner on Friday, and I think the Nats will defeat the New York Mets for a second straight day here on Saturday.

Tanner Roark (14-7, 2.87 ERA) takes the ball for the Nats. He's 5-1 with a 2.68 ERA in 13 career games (seven starts) against the Mets and he tossed seven scoreless innings of four-hit ball against the Phillies his last time out. Nationals are 14-3 in Roark's last 17 starts overall and a perfect 5-0 in Roark's last five road starts.

The Mets turn to Robert Gsellman (1-1, 3.72) who will make his third appearance in the major leagues. The 23 year old rookie was tagged with four runs on seven hits in six innings of a 5-1 loss to the Phillies in his first start ever his last time out.

The Nats have the division pretty much wrapped up as they enter the game 10 1/2-game ahead of the second-place Mets. I still think they'll be motivated to beat their division-rival for another game. The Nats have the batting and pitching advantage in this contest, which makes this an easy play on the visitors at this price.
