MLB 3-Pack
(MLB) Texas vs. Seattle,
Money Line: -106.00 Texas (Away)
Result: Loss
Play: Texas Rangers
Rating: 8*

The Texas Rangers had won seven straight prior to a 7-6 loss to the Astros on Sunday. They visit a reeling Seattle Mariners team that has lost seven of its last eight games, and this looks like a great price to back the Rangers to bounce back with a win.

Cole Hamels (14-4, 2.91 ERA) takes the ball for the visitors. He was reached for six runs on seven hits while walking four in just 4 1/3 innings of a no-decision against the Mariners his last time out. The Rangers still won that game 8-7 as part of a three-game sweep home in Texas. Hamels is an outstanding 9-2 with a 1.91 ERA on the road this season and he held Seattle to one run on four hits in seven innings his last visit to Safeco Field.

The Mariners turn to Felix HernÑndez (9-5, 3.48). The Rangers scored six runs on four hits and four walks off him in a 14-1 victory on August 31. Hernandez is not having a good season, and he's had issues with his command walking way too many batters.

Rangers are 6-0 in Hamels' last six starts vs. Mariners, and that's a streak I expect to continue.
