Play: Stanford
Rating: 8*

We won with the Stanford Cardinal when they defeated UCLA 21-13 last week, and I think they look great as an underdog at Washington Huskies here in Week 5. The Cardinal have a solid D (ranked eighth nationally in scoring defense at 12 points per game) and have been able to cover the spread in each of their three wins on the season season despite not putting up a ton of points. The Huskies have failed to cover the spread in each of their last two games and were taken to overtime by Arizona State last week despite closing as more than a 16-point favorite. Christian McCaffrey is near impossible to stop on the ground and Washington allowed a staggering 308 rushing yards to the Wildcats in its last game.

Cardinal are 5-0 ATS in their last five Friday night games and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game. Huskies are 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game. This is an easy play on the visitors as we can get the them plus a field goal and the hook.
