The reason, of course, is the pitching matchup. Cleveland's Trevor Bauer (12-8, 4.26) struggled down the stretch and posted a 7.20 ERA in his last five starts. He has took on Boston twice this season already, and allowed a total of six runs and 10 hits through six innings of work. Boston's Rick Porcello (22-4, 3.15 ERA) on the other hand went 8-1 over his final 11 starts of the regular season. He's 10-4 with a 3.35 ERA in 22 career starts against the Indians.
Boston is my pick to represent the American League in the World Series, and I think they'll start the postseason with a big win at Progressive Field Thursday night.
