The Nashville Predators opened the season by splitting a home-and-home series with the Blackhawks over the weekend. They won 3-2 on home ice and are now 5-0 in their last five in front of the home town crowd. The Stars are 2-5 in the last seven meetings at Bridgestone Arena and they're playing way too sloppy defense to be able to compete on the road, despite the abundance of offensive talent. The team has scored a total of nine goals in splitting its first couple of games on the season (while conceding eight), but now they'll face Pekka Rinne who turned aside 22 of 24 shots in Friday's victory over Chicago.

We can also note that the Preds are 4-for-8 with the man advantage this season and Dallas' penalty kill unit is not one I rate very high.
