The Carolina Hurricanes are off to a rough start to the season. They're coming off back-to-back overtime losses at Winnipeg and Vancouver and managed to squander a three-goal lead in each of the games. Can they turn their fortune around at Edmonton Tuesday night? I think not.
The Oilers enter the game with a 2-1-0 record and they'll be looking to bounce back from a 6-2 loss to Buffalo on Sunday. Connor McDavid was held off the scoresheet after registering three goals and three assists in a home-and-home sweep of Calgary to start the season, so he's likely to have a big game tonight.
The Hurricanes could certainly have asked for an easier schedule with each of their first five games on the road. They've already been on the road for quite some time and are 1-6 in the last seven meetings in Edmonton and 2-8 in their last 10 road games overall. I think the price is right to back the Oilers in this contest.
