The 10-4 New York Giants will find it tough to hunt down the Dallas Cowboys at the top of the NFC East, but they're currently holding down the top wild card spot in the NFC and I think they'll solidify their position with a win here.

The Giants defeated the Eagles 28-23 home in the Big Apple on Nov. 6, and they're 4-0 ATS in their last four Thursday night games. The 5-9 Philadelphia Eagles' are fourth in the NFC East and they've lost five straight games. Their season is all but over, and this is a team that is 1-4 ATS in its last five games in December and 1-4 ATS in their last six Thursday night games.

Philly's rookie QB Carson Wentz impressed early on, but he's struggled in recent weeks. Philly is running the ball pretty effectively, but the Giants have the sixth best rush defense in the NFL.

New York has an impressive defense overalland ranks third in the NFL with just 17.9 points allowed per game. The Giants have the talent and the motivation to run away with this game, and I'm backing the Giants.
