The Golden State Warriors will host the San Antonio Spurs for the opener of the Western Conference finals Sunday afternoon. I like the visitors as an underdog in this spot. The Warriors have not played since May 8 when they completed the sweep of Utah in the previous round, and this might be too much rest to be optimal. They're 2-7 ATS in their last nine games playing on three or more days rest and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 Sunday games.
The Spurs knocked out Houston in six games in the Conference Semifinals and looked very good in the last game, a 114-75 win at Houston. Point guard Tony Parker (quadriceps tendon) is out for the rest of the playoffs, but they have a master coach in Gregg Popovic who always gets the best out of his squad.
