The Philadelphia 76ers won both matchups with the Washington Wizards last season, and I think they'll give the home team another scare here in the opener of the new campaign. Philly is not short on talent, and Joel Embiid, Dario Saric and the others will now been joined by 2016 No. 1 overall pick Simmons (who sat out 2016-17 with a broken right foot) and the 2017 No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz.

The Wizards have kept their core pretty much intact from last season, for better and for worse. Sure, they were just one game short of reaching the Eastern Conference finals last season, but their defense remains a weakness.
