The Winnipeg Jets have been money at home all season long (14-3-1), but they've been unreliable on the road and dropped eight of their last nine away from home. Here they'll face an Edmonton side looking to avoid ending the year on a three-game slide, and the Oilers will also be looking for quick revenge for a 4-3 loss at Winnipeg on Wednesday.

The Jets defeated the Islanders 4-2 at home on Friday in their first game since finding out that they'll be without No. 1 center Mark Scheifele for six-to-eight weeks. It's not uncommon for teams to come together in the first contest without a star player, but they often find it much tougher after that.

I expect the Oilers to deliver as a home favorite here on New Years Eve.
