The New Orleans Pelicans stole a 97-95 victory in Saturday's opener with the total closing at 216.5. I think we'll see another relatively low-scoring contest here in Game 2.
New Orleans played excellent defense in Game 1 and held Portland to 31.9 percent shooting from the field, including 3-of-17 from behind the arc. Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum combined for just three points on 1-of-15 shooting in the first half, which the Blazers finished trailing 45-36. "We just didn't make shots," said Lillard. "Give credit to what they did defensively. They were physical, and they were trapping a lot of my pick-and-rolls."
Expect more of the same tonight.
