The Philadelphia Phillies opened this three-game series against NL East-leading Atlanta Braves with a 3-0 victory, and I think they'll claim the series with another win here Tuesday night. Philadelphia right-hander Vince Velasquez (4-4, 4.37 ERA) is coming off 6 1/3 scoreless innings at St. Louis and the Phillies have won each of his last three starts. The Braves turn to Brandon McCarthy (4-2, 5.05 ERA) who gave up just one run in six innings against the Cubs last time out, but he had surrendered 14 runs in his last two starts prior to that outing.
