The Miami Heat will be highly motivated for this contest following a 116-87 loss at Milwaukee Friday night. They had won three on the bounce prior to that setback and are still the No. 8 seed in the East, but Orlando is just 1/2 game behind and Charlotte is also within striking distance.

I'm not too concerned about the Heat playing on no rest here as they are 25-10-1 ATS in their last 36 games playing on zero days rest. We can also note that although the Wizards will be playing on one days rest, much like the Heat they'll be playing their third game in four nights.

The Wizards motivation must be low as three consecutive losses have seen them fall 5 1/2 game behind the Heat in the standings, and their chances of making the postseason are now slim to none. They have been atrocious on the defensive end all season long allowing an average of 117 ppg while Miami is holding opponents to a solid 105.9 ppg.

Considering that Miami is 23-11 ATS as an underdog this season and the road team 7-1-1 ATS in the last nine meetings in the series, I'm more than happy to take the points on a Heat team with everything to play for.
