The Texas Rangers had won six straight prior to closing out the weekend with a couple of losses to the Rays. They're still a solid 28-15 home in Arlington on the season and I expect the Rangers to get the win here in the opener of a three-game series against the LA Angels.

Mike Minor (8-4, 2.40 ERA) will take the ball for the Rangers. Texas has won each of his last five starts and Minor himself has allowed a total of just seven runs during that stretch. He is 3-0 with a 2.23 ERA in seven career appearances (five starts) against the Angels and has limited them to one earned run on eight hits over 15 innings of work this season.

The Halos turn to Jose Suarez (2-1, 5.57 ERA) for his fifth start in the majors. The 21-year-old southpaw served up three homers last time out as he was charged with five runs on eight hits and three walks in five innings at Toronto.
